Practice learning for Students

Social Work Placements

We understand and value how social work approaches can help to achieve better outcomes for children, young people and adults living with Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia.

By working in partnership with Birmingham City University Department of Social Work we are able to provide quality assured placement learning and education for students who undertake BSc or MSc Social Work qualifying programmes, in accordance with guidelines set out by the Health and Care Professions Council.

We are proud to have been nominated and awarded best practice Placement for Social Work 2017 by Birmingham City University Practice Trust at the Annual Health and Social Care Awards that took place on 21st July 2017 at Edgbaston Cricket Club.
