We provide advice, information and guidance to clients and patients around the complex issues arising from living with Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia disorder. Our person centred approach and importance of client involvement in this process ensures needs can be met and better outcomes can be achieved.
Information can be made available in alternative formats, such as Braille, large print, audio tape where required.
This service is offered to those who may need help in finding ways to deal with emotional issues associated with Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia. Counselling and 1-2-1 support can help you cope with difficulties including: depression, anxiety, upsetting physical health conditions, a difficult life event, such as a bereavement, caring for someone with the disorder, a relationship breakdown or work-related stress, low self-esteem or anger.

We also provide information and education on the effects of the conditions and the most effective way of caring and protecting the health and well-being of sufferers, blood testing and promoting better health and reducing isolation.
