OSCAR Birmingham aims to support individuals and their families affected by Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Disorders, who may be socially disadvantaged due to social exclusion or lack of support.

The OSCAR Birmingham team provide a needs-oriented and client led service to families and individuals living with Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Disorders. We offer appointments to provide advice, guidance and information.

Our aim is to create a stable and user-friendly environment, sensitive to our clients’ needs and to highlight the social issues affecting them.

We offer a number of services to clients and professionals alike including training, presentations, research and partnership work. We visit the clinic regularly and offer advice, support and information to parents and carers.
